Richard Casey, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C)
Chairman and Medical Director

Dr. Casey is the President of CMX Research Inc. and Medical Director of Fe/Male Health Centres, a treatment network offering comprehensive services in sexual medicine and prostate disorders for men. He and his professional team have participated in numerous clinical research trials and have extended their organization to include a variety of medical specialties. Dr. Casey contributes his considerable expertise and a progressive leadership style to the on-going research effort in medical therapeutics. He determines CMX strategy, operating plan, implements and tracks Business development. He assists with study protocol, feasibility Questionnaires, Budget negotiations, finalizes contracts with sponsors. Furthermore, he manages goals, responsibilities of SMO clinical research operations and ongoing marketing of CMX to Industry in conjunction with VP, Corporate Development and VP, Clinical Services.

Jack Barkin, MD, FRCS(C), FICS, FACS, DABU
Vice President, Corporate Development

Dr. Barkin is the Urologist in Chief at the Humber River Regional Hospital, the Director of The Male Health Centre in Toronto and sits on the Faculty in the Division of Urology at the University of Toronto. Dr. Barkin will spearhead the new CMX Research Marketing Services Division.

Vilija Punkris , RN, B. ScN.
Vice President, Clinical Services

Ms. Punkris received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chicago, IL as well a B.A degree in LTC from Athabasca, Alberta. Vilija has worked in the clinical trial business for 15 years both in acute care and community focused research settings. She oversees the daily operations of CMX Research Inc., and is responsible for managing corporate business development efforts, business modeling, proposal development and contract management. Vilija manages strategic direction for CMX’s overall growth and industry partnership with emphasis in continuous practice improvement.

Zsuzsanna Gesztesi, MD
Vice President, Contract Research Services

Zsuzsanna is Medical Doctor with extensive international experience and success in management of Phase I-II, BA/BE, Special Populations and Late Stage (Phase II-IV) clinical trials; medical monitoring; clinical data validation; pre- and post marketing drug safety reporting; process and business development. She is instrumental in directing best business practices, enjoying success in driving positive outcomes. She has comprehensive experience in systems development and life cycle management of products and services. Zsuzsanna currently heads the Contract Research Division of CMX Research and the primary contact for clients. She is responsible for the day to day operations of the division including business development, project management, medical writing and process development.

We maintain a deep conviction that personal service is essential to a quality program. We provide a full-time project manager to facilitate each study and our investigative physicians work actively within the CMX Research network. Dr. Richard Casey, President and Medical Director, is readily available to respond to questions of study design. Carlo Mendoza, Vice President, Contract Research Services, develops study-specific recruitment strategies and works with our sponsors and sites on tactical issues. Vilija Punkris, Vice President Clinical Services, provides site training and guidance, and is a facilitator in the delivery of clinical trials between CMX sites and pharmaceutical companies. We pride ourselves on the courteous welcome that we offer CRAs and we provide them with comfortable office accommodations. You can depend on our full support at every stage of all research projects.
