ASTRAZENECA BHOS STUDY JUNE 2009

Recruitment for BHOS is currently ahead of schedule, and recruitment of 450 patients is set to be achieved by December 2009.  An extension of an additional 150 patients has been granted by AstraZeneca, therefore our new recruitment target is now 600 patients.  This study is tracking the bone health of individuals who have prostate cancer and are taking Zoladex® over a 5 year period.  An electronic data capture (EDC) system has been specifically designed for this study and has proven an elegant method for data capture.  CMX Research Inc. is actively recruiting new investigators for this study on an ongoing basis.  Interested parties are encouraged to contact CMX Research Inc. at their earliest convenience.

ELIGARD® OBSERVATIONAL REGISTRY LAUNCH, JUNE 28, 2009

CMX Research Inc. is proud to announce the launch of the Eligard® Observational Registry on June 28, 2009.  This study will track patients over a 3 year period who are taking Eligard® for treatment of prostate cancer.  An online database similar to the one currently being used for BHOS has been developed for this study which will provide investigators with an efficient means of data capture.  Our goal is to recruit 300 patients for this registry and we are actively seeking investigators who wish to participate.  Interested parties are encouraged to contact CMX Research Inc. at their earliest convenience.

CMX RESEARCH INC. IN LONDON AND CAMBRIDGE:UK BIOPARTNERING JUNE 2-12, 2009

CMX Research Inc. was one of the six Ontario companies that was invited to participate in a BioPartnering mission that included the BioDundee Conference (June 3-5) in Scotland, seminars and meetings with biotechnology companies in London (June 8-9) and the ERBI Conference in Cambridge (June 10-12).

Now in its 11th year, ERBI’s Cambridge BioPartnering exchange is Europe’s largest biocluster gathering that attracts the top decision makers and industry experts from major pharmaceutical companies, international investors and biotech entrepreneurs to discuss the issues concerning the sector.  Held at the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire, the facility offered excellent networking opportunities.  Over 630 delegates from 16 countries, representing 410 companies (including 12 global pharmaceutical companies such as GSK, Merck, Pfizer and Takeda) attended.  Over 1,100 business partnering meetings were scheduled over the three day conference.
